This policy relates to information gathered online, and adheres to The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidance and its UK equivalent. Please read it carefully and revisit it periodically for changes as we improve our services and procedures.


Our promise

We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy online. We will only collect, store and use your personal information for specific purposes as outlined below in accordance with GDPR and its UK equivalent.


We use your personal information to support and develop our relationship with you. We will never share your personal data with third parties without specific consent from you, or unless required by law, and your data is always protected.

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This can include name, email address, address, and more.Please note that this policy refers to the gathering of data online. 


In common with all reputable PR agencies, Financial PR Ltd also maintains the strictest client confidentiality. It does not, before, during or after the contract period, use or disclose confidential information for any purpose other than to perform its legal obligations without the consent of the client.


Your information

We process online data in two main ways:

  1. New business: When you make a new business enquiry via our website, we ask for data such      as your name, company name, e-mail address, job title and contact details.      We record this information so that we can review your enquiry and reply to      you accordingly. 
  2. Marketing: Marketing emails are an opt-in service. You may opt out at any time. The      information submitted is held on Mailchimp.    


In addition to personal information, our website uses Google Analytics to ensure we are meeting your needs. Google Analytics stores usage data which may include your IP address, geographical location, referral source, length of visit and page views, though much of this is aggregated. The legal basis for this is legitimate interest for the basis of ensuring we are meeting customer needs.  We may process information you submit to us when you contact us to ensure we answer your query effectively.  Please do not supply any other person’s personal data to us, unless required by law or with their explicit consent.Data useThe data we gather via our website or communication with you is used to operate and expand the service we offer and to personalise that service. How we use your personal data is dependent on the legal basis for processing your data. We are dedicated to using your personal data only for:

  • Processing your business enquiries correctly.
  • Developing and expanding the business, including examining business enquiries.
  • The technical management of our website.
  • Reviewing our systems.
  • Providing you with information about the services we offer.

Because the Internet is not a 100% secure platform for communication we cannot guarantee the security of any data sent or received via the Internet. We are not responsible for any damages which you, or others, may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of such information.​We take every precaution to safeguard your information, however. All personal data stored by us is kept on a server in a secure environment. We maintain a clean desk policy. The computers on which work is conducted are password protected, any data held in the cloud is password protected and held on encrypted systems, and third-party software (for example, Mailchimp) have their own security systems.The risks of a breach are minimal due to these precautions, and close monitoring is undertaken to ensure security systems are up to date. Breaches will be identified, reported, managed, and resolved according to ICO guidelines.We only hold data as long as necessary. We store sensitive data for as long as projects are in progress, and up to 28 days afterwards. Email addresses are stored until consent is withdrawn,. Information required for tax and legal requirements is held for six years as required by law.Help us protect your dataAny data you willingly divulge online in non-protected situations such as message forums, chat spaces or via email can be collected and used by others. Remember to close your browser window when you have finished using the computer. If you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place, we cannot confirm or warrant the security of any data you communicate to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your communication, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our system.
